Help for occasional calming.
These chews have provided some help for my anxious dog, who struggles with spinning episodes likely tied to his PTSD from past trauma. He responded well to them initially—the first night he was noticeably relaxed—but by the fifth night, the effects were gone. We’ve tried various options over time, and while these chews aren’t the answer, giving them a few times a week does provide some relief. It’s important to understand that the limitations aren’t with the product itself but with the challenges my dog faces due to his difficult past. He’s an important part of the family and dedicated companion, and these chews are part of ongoing efforts to support him to the best of my ability.

With six dogs in my house, life can definitely feel more like a zoo than a home! When my smallest dog gets worked up, it doesn’t take long before he rallies the rest of the pack to join in. I’d been thinking for a while that we might need something with hemp to help him take the edge off, so I was excited to find this product.When I opened the package, I instantly had a swarm of curious noses around me; everyone wanted to know what smelled so good! Some treats I can barely get my dogs to sniff, but with these, they completely forgot their manners and were jumping up, eager to get a taste. I love that the treats are in a cute little heart shape! Every single one of my dogs gobbled them up the second I handed them over, even my pickiest eater didn’t hesitate and he truly spends a full minute sniffing anything before he ever decides to try a lick. Not with these!But the big question: did they actually calm my dogs down? For us, yes. I haven’t had a truly high-stress situation yet to put them to the ultimate test, but on normal days, I noticed a difference. Even passing vehicles with sirens didn’t set them off like usual. So on the taste and effectiveness scale, I’d say these treats are a win.There’s a chart on it to give suggested dosing and provided that you don’t have a brood as large as mine, it’ll probably last you a while.

Hemp Calming Chews that Actually Calm Things Down. My last two purchases of other brand calming chews did not do much to calm things down. Granted that my Jack Russell is not a docile dog to begin with; but that’s the point, if she was docile, then I wouldn’t need calming chews. We have indeed tried quite a few brands of calming chews, a testament to our dog’s readiness to confront any challenge. You might think that a 20# dog would shy away from German Sheppards and like breeds; but no, she is ready to go, no matter the size of the opponent. So for her own good, calming chews are helpful at times. But our main concern is the weather, especially approaching thunderstorms which she can detect sooner than anyone. And no, if you have a dog that trembles when a thunderstorm approaches, forget about these chews as a miracle cure. Nothing short of a prescription med is going to make them calm. But these calming chews do help, noticeably, and they are better than the other non-prescription remedies that we have tried; and so I’m rating these chews as 5*.

Softens some anxiety
My pup loves these treats. He’s started being very anxious since becoming an only dog. I’ve tried a lot of things trying to avoid prescription meds if I can. These do help him relax in the evenings. I give him two about an hour before bed.He does get super anxious in a car, and these didn’t seem to help in that situation, but it is pretty severe anxiety.I’ll probably keep these on hand since they’ve kinda became a nightly ritual that my dog looks forward to.

Anxiety solved for my pooch
My dogs actually like these! I was surprised that they willingly took them. I have a 20lb dog that has extreme anxiety, these helped her tremendously. She constantly barks out the front window, barks when my husband walks around the house, barks when the kids get too loud, but these really helped her. We noticed a lot less barking and some relaxation. She was very chill and relaxed, woke up this morning looking well rested and ready to play. These do smell weird but they are dog treats and most dog treats smell weird. Very good quality because they serve their purpose.
