Vacuums up junk like a dream
I got this on prime Day and it’s the least expensive vacuum cleaner I’ve ever had and the best vacuum cleaner it sucks up junk like there’s no tomorrow. I love the tools it came with. I’d be over the moon if it was lighter but it’s not terribly heavy. I’ve had other vacuum cleaners with a headlight, this doesn’t have that. It also doesn’t have retractable cord. But it is still better than vacuum cleaners that I’ve had with those features in terms of its ability to vacuum and do its job.. very strong suction. Especially for the price, it’s still my favorite!

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. It’s light weight, easy to use, and it does a great job picking up pretty hair! With 4 dogs and 4 kids we are running the vacuum constantly and this vacuum does a great job!

Awesome
I did not realize how bad my previous vacuum was until I made this purchase. This vacuum was able to pick up everything my old one was missing and then some. Slightly heavier than expected but smaller and lighter than my old one. Cleaning is easier since this is very easy to use. The attachments stay put. Quality is great. My only gripe is that I have stairs and though the canister detaches for ease of cleaning, I don’t come with a good attachment to use on stairs. I think the manufacturer needs to include a good stair attachment and it would be perfect. Overall, awesome product.

Love It So Far
We purchased this Bissell Pet Hair Eraser 39883 to replace our 15-year-old Dyson DC 33. The difference is astounding. I wasn’t aware of just how poorly my old Dyson was functioning (even after cleaning filters and such)–nor how heavy and difficult it was to use–until the first time I used this Bissell.1. The Bissell sucks harder and removes substantially more hair and dirt out of our carpet on just a couple of passes. These were areas that I previously had to make ten or twelve passes with the old Dyson just to get even passably clean.2. The Bissell is much lighter than my old Dyson, and much more maneuverable. This is important for people who have joint pain, so now I don’t dread vacuuming nearly as much.3. The Bissell has a narrower vacuum head with a lower profile, so it fits around and underneath furniture areas I previously had to use attachments to reach.4. The lift-off canister with the stretch hose on the Bissell is a much better design than the clunky old Dyson. With the Dyson, the hose was so stiff that it was constantly retracting–which meant that it chased me around the room and constantly banged me in the back of the legs. Oh, if you knew the bruises I have endured over the years vacuuming with that thing. But, I digress… The Bissell hose still self-retracts, but not so violently that it slams the canister into me while in use. Even better, I can now cart the canister around without the vacuum head! Much easier for vacuuming stairs. Hallelujah!5. The non-tangle roller head on the Bissell is a dream come true. With long-haired household members, I was constantly removing the roller from our old Dyson just to cut the hair off. So far, I haven’t seen any hair tangled in the Bissell–and it’s even easier to tell, because the vacuum head is clear, so you can see the roller right through it (unlike the Dyson which you had to turn upside down).Side note: We have cattle dogs, and when they blow their coats in the warmer months, no amount of brushing them outdoors can 100% prevent them from shedding a bunch indoors, too. That’s just life with double-coated dogs, and I’m sure some of y’all can relate.In short… I wish I had replaced our old Dyson with this Bissell sooner. Super happy with it at the moment (November 2025), and if that changes, I will update this review. At this moment, highly recommend.
