TL;DR: I’m SO glad I bought this!
Our cats LOVE this cat house, and so does our French bulldog!!We replaced a cardboard box (that we’d left out cuz our former-stray cats loved it) with this cuz we were sick of having a scrungly-looking front room. I was worried the cats wouldn’t take to it… but they very much did!I’m so glad I got the wider size. 🥹 I didn’t expect our Frenchie to hop up and sit or lay on the top, but she does!! And our bigger cat can stretch out as he likes, top or inside, and multiple animals can snuggle together! 😍Special bonus for me and my apartment (with low windowsills) is that the height is perfect for the animals to sit on top and look out the window like an extension of the sill.As for build quality, I was surprised at how thick the sides feel, despite it being what I assume is fabric-wrapped cardboard. Putting the top layer on is plenty to keep the square shape sturdy. Our 4 and 8 month old kittens (one tiny, one big) have wrestled on the top many times already. They’ve even done the liquid cat thing of being part on top, part over the side and scrabbling at each other and the house has stayed solid. Not to mention the neutron star density of our Frenchie hopping on and off, and the house has held up! I’ve never once worried about their safety or any collapse. The top does sag a bit under the dog, but without bending.The sheepskin covering is soft and cozy without shredding or snagging. I placed the house right in front of a big window that gets a lot of sun, and the cats have been loving the warmth inside and on top. 🥰Oh – none of the cats have shown any interest yet in the scratch panel, but to be honest, I assumed they wouldn’t and didn’t buy this for the scratch panel anyway. (We have multiple other scratch posts/trees, anyway.) I had also been unsure about the fuzzball toys hanging down in both doorways – I was worried they’d deter the cats from going in – but more the fool, me! The cats like laying on top and reaching down to try and kill a ball.I don’t know how much more I can say about this. If you’re even considering wanting or needing this cat house, just buy it. It’s worth it.

After Many Cat Towers For a Fat Cat – This is THE one
To be honest I was a little skeptical about purchasing this cat house because other reviews had mentioned it is a bit flimsy. However, I am finding this cat house to be just what I was looking for. I have a very fat cat who loves these type of cat houses/2 tier scratch pads. Usually I would buy him those fun holiday cardboard cat towers around the holidays. But soon that was proven to not be cutting it. My cat is so fat, he would demolish this cat house within a month of putting it together. all that hard work and construction was for nothing. He didn’t even pay me for my work or blueprints !!! Even though my cat has godzilla like tendencies and loves to tear down buildings – I knew I had to keep trying. I had to find something that was strong enough and big enough to support this monster of a cat. I was surprised at how easy this was to put together, literally 3 pieces. a soft pad, a sisal scratch pad and the foundation. It even has built in pom poms on the side for him to play with! He loves The first floor of the cat house – he didn’t like any of the other cat house first floors. but let me tell you – he loves this one! (probably because he can actually fit) And he loves the top part just as much! This is a very chunky cat maybe 25 pounds (sorry to out you bud) . and he can actually sit on the top without it crashing and crumbling beneath him ! Very functional, he has the bottom half for sleeping, the top half for staring into my soul and watching my every move, and scratching to his hearts content. We also love that since this cat house is all fabric – it decreases trash recycling! My cat doesn’t care about the environment, but I think this part is wonderful! I give this product 5 stars. Some other reviews say this thing is flimsy, but if my fat cat hasn’t collapsed it yet – I find that to be untrue. it is very sturdy. And if my cat could write a review, he would give more than 5 stars!

Order the large size! (Your cats will love you for it)
I was disappointed when the cats didn’t even look t this for the first two weeks (cats being cats), so I started tossing treats inside of it. One month in and now there are at least two cats in it at all times (two adult cats can fit together nicely inside of this, and sometimes two large cats share space on top. This holds a maximum of four cats (we have five rescue cats — don’t judge).I just caught one of the cats playing with one of the balls while he was on the top floor and then he went “downstairs” and batted it around before finally going inside and the ball kept being swatted at from the inside. I wish I had pictures but the cats are skittish around me and won’t let me get close unless I have wet food. So sorry, no pix. But wow, this was so worth getting the large size. We now have a “kitty hotel” and the cats love hanging out together here.By the way it really is sturdy (it holds their weight), and the bedding is fluffy and washable, so that creates a warm place for them when they want to go out on the patio at night. So incredibly satisfied.

I got sick of cleaning up cardboard and needing to replace the old cat scratchers once my cats destroyed them. I thought I would give this a try. I have two black cats. One is a little on the large size. Both have used this. My smaller cat will often use the top to scratch his little heart away. My bigger cat hasn’t used it as far as I can tell.Pros:• Decent price• Both cats like crawling inside the bottom part.•My smaller cat uses the top part for scratching all the time.•I like how I looks.Cons•It’s on the flimsy side.• The top part isn’t solid at all. I doubt it would hold up to a larger cat using it.• My bigger cat doesn’t like being on top.• The cushion it came with is paper thin. I put a cat bed we already had inside the bottom. We have laminate floors so I wanted to give the kitties a comfy spot. They have comfy spots but they can always use more.Would I buy this again? Sure.

This bed is very nice. It is covered and soft and my cats like batting at the ball toy that hangs from the opening. My cats occasionally nap in this bed. I do have two large breed cats (Ragdolls). My cats weigh 16lbs and 19lbs due to their large breed (they are meant to weigh this much). Since my cats are very large with long bodies and limbs, they do not fit as well as I would have liked into this bed. I believe this is why they only occasionally use the bed (because they are a bit too squished). If you have a normal sized/regular cat breed then I bet your cats will likely love this bed. There is no assembly really, you just pop the square soft piece onto the top for support in case they want to sleep on the top. It is well made and I like the colour scheme of the fabric. It is very soft and I purchased it at a decent price.

Got this as a Christmas present for my Cat Ruby! She is a big, but not fat, Tabby! Most Cat houses I have seen have doors too small or are only meant for kittens it seems! This one was a great price and easy to put together. Ruby immediately took to it and lay on top and inside with no space issues!! It is a soft sheep fur like pad and she likes sleeping on it! She has not used the scratch pad as she prefers to use the back of my couch!

This is cute and good quality. It was easy to assemble and looks good. My only issue with it is that the top is soft and my cat doesn’t like to jump on it. Although it is sturdy it gives a bit under his weight which he doesn’t like. That said my cat is 15 lbs and this may not be an issue for a smaller or braver cat!! I am giving it to my niece for her kitten and I am sure he will love it.

When we adopted our cat and brought him home, he jumped out of his carry case and went straight into his cat house. He stayed in here for a few weeks until he felt comfortable to come out. It was a nice little home for him, although he doesn’t seem to use it much anymore and he didn’t like that hanging ball, I recommend tucking that hanging ball underneath the top floor or cut it off.
