Bargain comfortable leash
This is my fourth retractable leash in three months. We walk 5-6 miles per day on desert hiking trails, along sidewalks and through parks. The handle is more comfortable than “the expensive adjustable one” and has adequate retraction tension for 26 feet unlike another brand. My 60 lb. Vizsla/Husky puppy hasn’t quickly destroyed the tape via energetic pulls or aggressive chewing though she has tried. It brought my dog to a dead stop on the far end of the leash without breaking for a fat long diamondback lying across the trail.

BUILT LIKE A TANK 🙂 with one small caveat
Product arrived promptly and free of damage or defect.PROS:+ Well made+ Esthetically pleasing+ Built like a tank+ Has a built in poopy bag dispenser ( a MUST!)+ I have been using retractable leashes for over 15 years now and buy them at my local pet store (so higher quality brands) , so I am in a good position to compare this product with some of the best on the market. I found it matches the quality and possibly even exceeds it. In short, instead of being disappointed, I was actually impressed. Now this is just a first impression, I will update this review after I have used the leash for a while to see if it holds up to my first impression ;).+ Significantly longer than my other retractable leashes.+ Can be used for larger, more powerful dogs.+ Expends and retracts smoothly+ Brakes, and locks properly (super important!)CONS:- A bit heavy.- Too big and heavy for little dogs- Probably too heavy for elderly female dog owners- Big, size wise (it has to be since it is for larger dogs, but I thought I should mention)- Poop bag dispenser is a bit small, it will not fit your standard roll. You will have to remove a few bags to make the roll thinner to make it fit. This is a bit annoying as the size is almost there, but not quite there. Not sure why the manufacturer didn’t make the bag dispenser just a tad bigger, that is all it needed to be able to fit conventional rolls (sigh), for that I took away one star.VERDICT:A well built, powerful tool to allow your dog some freedom at the park, while still retaining control over his movements, which could literally SAVE their life. There is a bit of a learning curve to learn how to use retractable leashes properly and safely, if you have never used one before: but once you do, you will never go back to conventional leashes. TIP: I hook an S carabiner to the handle of my retractable leashes and this allows me to tie the leash anywhere, clip it to my belt, clip it to a rail etc, this way you can till temporarily tie your dog if you need to, just like you would with a conventional leash.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This review is an accurate assessment of this product at the time review was written. Should I encounter any issues with this product in the future, I will add an update.

Oooooohhhh! So this is what a good retractable feels like?!
I feel fancy and Tina (my 4.5lb jack/chihuahua loved it too)! Granted i have a cheapie Discount Store leash only to compare it to….but this one’s AWESOME…why?- It feels AMAZING in the hand, almost like it was designed to have a counterweight to make it so ergonomical and comfortable when held outright in front of you….seriously. Noticed it instantly!-The leash portion feels high quality and durable…now this one is made for big, larger dogs but it worked great for Tina even though the clasp was large, it wasn’t sooo large that it wasn’t comfortable for her or hindering her so maybe a 75lb dog would be at the end of the size range for this leash?-I also have to mention that its a real leash, all 20+ feet of it, it doesn’t taper down to a cheesy rope or braided thinner nylon-It winds/retracts so easily, its muy suave!!!-The lock is so easy to use!!!! I was starting to think my gross motor skills were lacking with the cheap leash , sometimes I just couldn’t retract it fast enough but this one my 6 year old could do!-The material is grippy, almost rubbery in some spots which is another well thought detail cause if you’ve ever dropped a cheap one it so loud it can literally scare the bejesus outta ya (and the dog) and also wake the neighborhood up!-Finally, the poo bag add on is awesome…nothings dangling and annoying and the roll mechanism makes it easy to just pop a new roll in, so cool!***It’s also a fraction of the price of a good one, from the big Pet Stores and its GRRREAT QUALITY and TOTALLY ON PAR with those!

Strong and long leash
This leash replaces both of my dog’s 6′ leash and 25′ long leash! My puppy has grown too big for the leash I’ve been using, and I needed something more substantial. His old one had become a tasty chew toy for him, and the endless weaving through brushes and weeds, leaving a frayed line I knew would soon rip through.As seen in the images, the line for this new leash is both thicker and wider than his previous one. The handle is sturdy and the sliding lock holds well. I can keep my dog closer while on the pedestrian sidewalk, and the full extended length allows space for him to explore as we wander past farmland.The retractable feature is more of a slow pull rather than a quick jerk so I can maintain better control and tension as my dog darts ahead. This stronger, smoother pull allows me to more gently apply the lock instead of jerking him back from an uncontrolled sprint.When I first saw the poop bag container, I didn’t think it would stay attached long, but I was wrong! Rather than a plastic clip-on container, it firmly attaches to the handle. The screw cap ends are a needed feature, as I have lost bags before when the caps of traditional bag dispensers popped off mid-walk and the bags rolled down the sidewalk. I can open either end of this dispenser to refill the roll.While my dog isn’t the largest dog this product is designed for, his energy and strength make up for it. Provided his harness is as sturdy as the leash, I’m very pleased with this retractable leash.
