Perfect for my Golden Retriever puppy

Caroline LOVES Zuke’s
My dog LOVES Zuke’s and they have been great for her training due to size/calories. I don’t worry about how many she gets like I did with other treat products. They aren’t horribly priced, have decent ingredients, and did I mention my dog loves them? I just wish I could get the pumpkin shaped ones year around because those are her favorite!

Great treats. My dog loves them. They are great for training. My dog has a very sensitive stomach and these have not bothered her at all. They are too small to break, they are a little bigger than a pencil top eraser.

My Picky Dog Can’t Get Enough!
I have a very picky dog, so finding treats he actually enjoys is always a challenge. These Zuke’s treats are a total win — he loves them! I feel good giving them to him too because they’re all-natural, made with real salmon, and made in the USA.The size is perfect for training or just giving a little reward without overdoing it. The smell is mild, so they don’t overpower the house, but they’re clearly tasty for my pup. I’ll definitely be keeping these in rotation — he literally gets excited when he sees the bag!If you have a picky eater at home, give these a try. They’re healthy, convenient, and my dog gives them two paws up.

FREEZE DRIED MEAT TREATS ARE NOT SAFE FOR PETS!- SEE UPDATE
As good as quality as Zuke’s may be for dog treats, the FDA and other county health department websites say that freeze dried raw meats can carry pathogens (i.e. bird flu!) that carry diseases to your pet!UPDATE- After emailing Zuke’s directly, they freeze dry treats only after cooking them. THIS MAKES THEM SAFE FOR PETS!

A great value for a healthy, all-natural treat
When I consider buying dog treats, I think first and foremost about cost per treat. With the bags of treats from Zuke’s, you’re getting at least 100 treats (others here have estimated 150) for less than $10. So, you’re looking at about 5-10 cents per treat. That’s a pretty good value.For the people who harp about Zuke’s now being owned by Nestle Purina, just remember that Haters Gonna Hate. These are people who pay for ridiculously over-priced food at Whole Foods and want to spend hundreds of dollars per month on their dogs. Big companies are not the devil. If the founder(s) of Zuke’s wanted to cash-in on their success (and improve the distribution network of their products, thereby increasing revenues), then good for them! Instead of listening to the haters, just read Zuke’s press release about that change (on Facebook, from January 2014). Zuke’s still operates as an independent company in Durango, CO.The ingredients are excellent, and our golden retriever (one year old) goes nuts for these treats. They are nice and small, so you’re not giving your dog a small meal — just a nutritious bit of goodness. These work great for training. It’s also nice that these don’t have any effect on our dog’s digestive system.
