I like this stuff! Love the clean, lime peel scent.
Good for clearing cat urine stench. Also good for infrequent cleaning of my stinky, sweaty yoga shred mat in summer. I usually use a gentle lavender cleaner made for yoga mats, but a good dose of this got it pristine smelling. I’m willing to chance infrequent mat cleanings with this as needed in future (wipe the yoga mat thoroughly with water afterwards. I’m not sure this stuff is meant for your skin. I had no reaction and my skin is somewhat sensitive, just be safe)I’m extremely sensitive to smells, though I enjoy good smells, high quality perfumes, etc. I detest chemical air fresheners, most scented candles, glade plug-ins, etc. Febreeze is just foul and they all give me toxic allergic reactions. My 20 year old, arthritic kitty could no longer get into her special enclosed litter box that I set up for her in my upstairs bedroom suite where she mostly stayed. She ended up using puppy pads outside the box for the most part.1.5 years of ammonia stink, leaks onto my 112 year old fir wood floor, and puppy pads, bless her. She did her best, my little angel. She passed two weeks ago (and my other kitty manages to use the litter boxes in the basement). So with great relief, I removed the whole litterbox setup from upstairs.During the dotage of two kitties, who have both since passed, everytime I opened the door to upstairs, the stink was there, lingering, stressful, and I now realize, physically depressing. I realize I dreaded going upstairs. But my kitties enjoyed their lives and I loved them, so we did our best, using countless puppy pads (get your puppy pads at Sam’s Club: 120 pads for about $16. Significantly cheaper than anywhere else), expensive electric air filters, and gallons and gallons of enzymatic and oxy cleaners.I used to use Natures Miracle by the gallon in the red bottle. It worked on cat urine, but left behind a very unnatural, lung piercing odor that actually made me sick.I switched to Natures Miracle Oxy orange scented cleaner. I don’t think it worked as thoroughly on the urine, but it helped a lot and I could tolerate the scent. It had a more natural, fresh scent. I bought gallons and gallons of this.Every time I got a new bottle, I kept the aluminum seal on and carefully pierced it maybe 10 times times with a pin, so I could generously sprinkle it on messes, but not waste it by pouring it all out at once. This works really well.So after removing her box the final time, I drenched the wood floor of the litterbox alcove with a half gallon of N.M. Oxy orange and cleaned the wood stairs and everything with the Oxy cleaner. No more stink wafting out when I opened the door to upstairs!BUT still a faint pee pee scent when I went into the alcove. So I ordered this Biokleen lime enzymatic cleaner. It has a strong but pure lime peel scent when you first pour it out. Nothing chemical, nothing offensive to me. Just a clear, clean, gratifying scent that goes away once it dries. And it takes the pee smell with it!I sprinkled about a third gallon onto the 6′ x 6′ area of wood floor, thoroughly wet a Swiffer pad with the Biokleen and scrubbed it into the cracks in floor that had become darkened with pee pee leaks. I kept pouring more on the bad spots to keep the floor wet for several hours. I poured more into those cracks several times over the next couple days. Used over half gallon in the end. My old floors are pretty rustic, and had already been damaged by the pee, so I was willing to risk some minor additional damage to floor. It was worth it to me to get the odor out. Biokleen left a sheen on the wood floor and in the close up picture, you can see the dark areas. Pee made them dark first, and I really dont know if the Biokleen made them any worse, but today, the pee odor is GONE, simply gone. Yes.The Biokleen is good value too, compared to any of the Natures Miracle or other products marketed to pet owners. One more note, I used it on my gel foam mattress topper where my remaining kitty peed, (maybe commenting on his sister’s death). The pee scent is gone, but a fake limey scent lingers. Doesn’t smell as clean on mattress topper as does on other surfaces. It may not be completely dry yet, so I’m turning it over and keeping fans on it during day.

Smells Good, Cleans Deep—My Go-To Enzyme Cleaner
I’ve been using the 128‑oz Biokleen Bac‑Out Enzyme Stain & Odor Remover for a few months now, and here’s my take from real-life use:⸻✅ What I Love• Effective on tough stains and odorsIt tackled old pet stains on my carpet and even wine drips on my couch. After letting it sit, the spots and smells disappeared without me having to scrub madly .• Safe and eco-friendlyNo harsh chemicals—plant-based, biodegradable formula with live enzymes. It’s certified by Green Seal for safer cleaning . Great for a pet-filled and kid-friendly home.• Fresh, subtle scentThe lavender-lime scent is mild and pleasant—no chemical bleach smell. Even better: it disappears quickly, leaving things smelling neutral .• Multipurpose cleaningI’ve used it inside my washing machine for sweaty gym clothes, on carpet spills, upchuck from my cat, and even diaper stains. It’s tackled them all successfully .⸻⚠️ What to Know Before You Buy• Use enough and let it workYou need to saturate the stain and let the enzymes dwell for at least 10 minutes—longer for deeper-set messes. Wiping it too soon cuts effectiveness .• Big jug, big spaceThe 128-oz bottle is a bit bulky, so I ended up transferring some into a smaller spray bottle for spot cleaning convenience .• Some shipping issuesA few buyers mentioned leaks during delivery. Mine arrived okay, but worth knowing if your bottle comes via mail .⸻🧭 Final VerdictIf you’re dealing with organic stains—like pet mess, food, wine, or workout clothes—and want a safer, eco-friendly option, this formulation really delivers. Just use it as directed (saturate and wait), and be aware of the bottle’s size.In short: powerful, plant-based enzyme cleaner that works across multiple mess types—just give it a bit of space to work, and maybe prep a spray bottle for ease of use.

Magical — Cannot believe how well this works!
TLDR: Buy this. It’s magical. And it smells wonderful (limey). See pics — total time (stain to clean: 2 LITERAL minutes!)BIOKLEEN (Magical Witchcraft Potion): I’ve used this product for years (multiple critters in the home), never writing a review before this. Recently, Thing One decided to start throwing up his food and I learned that food turn a bilious bright yellow when it comes back up. All my light colored carpets are where he prefers to throw up (not the hardwood floors). Thing Two is experiencing some kind of gastrointestinal disturbance and is leaving little piles of love outside the litter, again, on the light colored surfaces. Enter Magical Potion (BIOKLEEN). This will seem like an exaggeration — all I can say is try it for yourself.LITERALLY, I sweep/vacuum up whatever has dried and can be removed. Then, I wet the stain with BIOKLEEN. The first time I got busy with laundry and forgot to return to scrub after spraying, and guess what? IT WAS GONE. The stain was LITERALLY GONE — no scrubbing, no panting, no cursing, no hoping. This stuff literally ate it up! I was astonished and it was too late to take a pic. So this time, I’ve shared the TWO MINUTE process in pictures. From stain to gone (one minute 56 seconds). I did use that siliconey scrubbie looking thing, but it wasn’t necessary. Magical. One Caveat: I got overexcited one time and poured the liquid from the jug (instead of spraying). I would not advise this on carpets. It worked spectacularly to remove the stain (again, no scrubbing) BUT, I think it became OVER-SOAKED and when it dried, the carpet (a large 10×12 ft) was ever so slightly bumpy in the surrounding area, as though some fibers stretched out or shrunk during/after the soaking. Sort of like when you get sisal or jute wet and then it never lays flat again). So — long/short: Buy it, use it, SPRAY it (don’t jug-it), and love it. 🙂

I never thought I’d find something to get the smell of cat pee out of my leather couch. Totally worth the money. I was nervous because our couches were expensive but I will buy again and it smells good.

This stuff is amazing. I have a hallway that was targeted by both my cats and dogs. I tried everything to get rid of the smell. Spent an absolute fortune. I saw this, although I did think it pricey, I thought why not. Best decision ever made. I put it in a spray bottle and sprayed it neat on the floor. Saturated it. Left it sit for a bit then blotted it with a damp mop. Sprayed it again for good measure and just left it this time. I’m absolutely delighted to say that the foosty, dirty, peepee smell is gone. I no longer want to gag and cry simultaneously anymore. Beyond happy.
